Great Motel

"Friendly welcome, beautifully appointed suite. Clean, generous size rooms and facilities. Nice little gym. Close to amenities. Quiet rooms although on busy road. Very comfortable and great nights sleep. Highly recommend."

A motel that surpassed all our expectations

"We booked a room at the Pukekura Motor Lodge when we needed to stay overnight last week and we are so very glad we did. We had a first floor superior studio and paid a vey good rate by booking direct with the motel rather than via a booking agency. The room was spotlessly clean and very tidy. It had all the facilities you need when self catering and all the fixtures and fittings were new and of very good quality. The large bed was very comfy. The bathroom was well equipped with toiletries and had a bath as well as a fantastic shower. Whilst the motel is not in the town centre, it is within a couple of minutes drive and there is plenty of parking. Would not hesitate to recommend this motel and we are looking forward to staying here when we next visit New Plymouth"

Excellent family accommodation

"We stayed 2 nights while in New Plymouth for a family event. The rooms were spotless, modern, warm and spacious. We got the family room which accommodated all 5 of us in our own beds (no foldaway) which is rare. The staff were really nice, helpful and accommodating. Can't really fault our stay and we will definitely be back to stay next time we need accommodation in New Plymouth!"

Warm welcome, delightful stay

"We were visiting family in New Plymouth and decided on Pukekura due to the location, not expecting much from the motel: what a lovely surprise. We had a spacious 2 bedroom unit: beautifully finished bathroom and kitchen. Had a lovely warm welcome. Being away from home the kids have started missing the pets and the resident cats endured the cat-lovers in the family’s adoration. The rest of us appreciated the humans’ friendly helpfulness. Great value for money and close to the centre of town and park."

"Lovely, clean, warm accommodation. Really nice people. Would definitely stay here again. Full kitchen facilities but we ordered the breakfast available which was all really delicious. Close to town but didn't hear any traffic noise."
